Mr. Brandon Parker

Welcome to Model Middle School.  We are excited about having your child as part of our MMS faMily this year.  Our goal is to provide each student the opportunity to achieve personal and academic excellence so they can be respectful, responsible citizens.  I have had the opportunity to serve as Assistant Principal at MMS since the Fall of 2020.  Before coming to MMS, I taught special education and history at Pepperell High School and Pepperell Middle School.  During this time, I also coached football, girls basketball and track.  In Fall of 2017, I moved into the role of Title I Coordinator and Assistant Principal.  My wife teaches in the self-contained Autism classroom here at Model Middle, and my 3 children attend school in the Model District.

We look forward to working alongside you this year to ensure your child has the best experience at MMS.  Please reach out with any questions or concerns to my email bparker@floydboe.net .

Mr. Tim Gillespie

Welcome to Model Middle School. I'm Tim Gillespie, and I am thrilled to be a part of the Model FaMily this year! I look forward to working with the staff at Model Middle to ensure a safe and successful school year for everyone. My prior experience includes teaching and coaching at Pepperell High School, working as an assistant principal and CTAE director at Trion High School, and serving as the principal of Trion Elementary School before retiring in 2021. I couldn't stay retired long because I missed students and the school environment, so I went back into the classroom as a teacher for a few years at Trion High School before coming back to Floyd County to serve as assistant principal at Pepperell High School for a year and then transitioning to an instructional coach for the system last year. My wife is an assistant principal at Pepperell Middle School, our son works in Washington D.C., our daughter works at Pepperell Primary School, and our two grandsons attend Floyd County Schools.

I know this is going to be a great year in the Model community. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.
